A big day for BigPanda – Battery Ventures leads $16M Series B

Back in 2012, we saw an opportunity to tackle one of the most painful experiences for any IT or DevOps team – keeping up with the explosive growth and complexity of IT infrastructure.
The last decade has brought incredible changes in infrastructure and application architecture, which have enabled businesses to operate with more efficiency, agility and scalability. With these changes, we’ve felt that a fundamental mismatch has formed between the tsunami of machine data being thrown off by modern data centers and the ability of IT professionals to manually process all that information and react to it with any reasonable efficacy.
It has been amazing to see BigPanda grow from a prototype to a platform that has become indispensable for some of the world’s largest companies. This Series B round is a strong affirmation of BigPanda’s mission.
Looking forward
Our mission today remains the same as it has always been: to help IT and DevOps teams manage the explosion of machine data that they face every day. What’s changed is our ability to accelerate our growth and cement our position as market leader in this space.
The $16 million we raised is going directly to growing our team , both in the US and Israel. In our Mountain View, CA office, we’re aggressively expanding the team across Sales, Marketing and Product. In our Tel Aviv office, we’re looking for talented engineers across multiple disciplines – front end developers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers to name a few. Please tell your friends.
