BigPanda customer success

The PANDA Rollout Process

Organizations don’t have the luxury of embarking on year-long implementations, especially when it comes to IT projects. BigPanda has built our reputation on our proven five-phased PANDA Rollout, which accelerates both the initial deployment and time-to-value while reducing risk of failure. This proven methodology ensures that we continue to deliver a world-class experience and enable success for global teams—with a minimal onsite presence or completely remote. We developed this methodology based on real-world experience and productive dialogue with our customers. PANDA rollout guarantees our 100% successful deployment in all projects. Like our largest global enterprise customers, an organization willsee value as early as 12 weeks after initial kickoff.

Prepare

Understand: Evaluate the organization’s current IT environment. Confirm goals, business and technical objectives, and relevant use cases. Map out the structure of its teams and the processes they adopt. Define problems that need to be solved.
Enhance POV: Leverage the foundational work done in the initial Proof of Value (POV) phase for full-on engagement by validating and hardening critical areas—integrations, enrichment, and correlations—through dozens of iterations.
Design: Solidify a project plan and create an architecture design to get the BigPanda deployment into production as soon as possible. The project plan addresses these key components: technical architecture, complementary business practice, and roll-out strategy.

Act (4 to 8 weeks):

Integrate: Work collaboratively with the team to connect all the tools that are important to the organization with BigPanda—through out-of-the-box integrations and customized integrations that are built for you as needed—to provide a single pane of glass for the team.
Enrich: Supplement alert data with relevant information from multiple data sources to help expedite resolution.
Configure: Apply best practices to configure the BigPanda system and integrations so that they function optimally to fully meet the needs of the organization.
Document: Jointly create a playbook with end-to-end documentation for technical staff and users on how to use the BigPanda solution. This includes a library of best practices and use cases that are drawn from our ground-level experience with global enterprises.

Notable Metrics

Define: Define and align on metrics and multiple key performance indicators (KPIs) against your business goals—such as minimizing downtime and reducing mean-time-to-respond.
Baseline: Capture a current snapshot of your metrics so we can map them to business outcomes and measure the ROI of your BigPanda implementation.

Deploy (1 or 2 weeks)

Test: Perform functional testing to ensure your system behaves and delivers expected results to operators. Ensure that all alerts are being enriched with the relevant information.
Enable: Ensure knowledge transfer to Customer Outcomes and Technical Support team members to facilitate a smooth transition.
Train: Train the staff (users, administrators, and in-house trainers) on site or remotely one to two weeks before going live to follow a well-defined process for the organization’s unique IT environment.
Go live: Launch BigPanda within the organization. Ensure a successful deployment through proactive go-live support and active monitoring.

Assure (2 weeks after deployment):

Gather feedback from operators to continuously improve and optimize the organization’s platform. Project closure and reviewing milestones for onboarding additional tools and teams. Iterate as necessary.
